Remember the scary incident last April with Southwest Airlines?  A five-foot long gash opened over the fuselage and the pilot made an emergency landing.  Fortunately no one was hurt.  The cause was attributed to poor riveting.  Rather than sweeping this under the carpet, Southwest Airlines grounded all 70 planes that were similar as the damaged jet – causing the cancellation of many flights and even more delays.  It’s probably not yet determined how much money this cost Southwest Airlines.

Bottom line to their revenues……not so hot.

Bottom line to their integrity……OFF THE CHARTS!
